Huu Can Tran, is the alleged gunman responsible for the Monterey Park mass shooting, where 11 people were fatally shot inside the STAR BALLROOM DANCE STUDIO.
The shooting occurred on Saturday, January 21 2023 as Monterey’s majority Asian community was celebrating the advent of the Chinese Lunar Year on January 22 2023.
Lunar is a reference to the Moon.
According to various media reports, on Sunday, January 23 2023 Huu Can Tran died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds, while in a white van surrounded by a SWAT team in Torrance, California.
